[김천=황악신문] 김서업 기자=경북 문경 화재 현장에 투입돼 순직한 故 김수광 소방장과 박수훈 소방교의 안장식이 3일 거행된다.

두 순직 대원 중 김천 출신 故 김수광 소방장의 비보에 김천시민들은 애통한 심정으로 고인의 명복을 빌고 유가족을 위로하고 있다.

지난달 31일 문경시 소재 육가공품 제조공장에서 발생한 화재 현장에 출동한 문경소방서 119구조구급센터 소속 김수광(27) 소방장과 박수훈(35) 소방교는 육가공 공장 3층에서 인명 수색 중 급속히 번진 불에 희생됐다.

분향소는 이달 2일부터 5일까지 경북도청 동락관, 문경·구미·상주 소방서에 마련돼 조문객을 맞을 예정이다.

2일 문경장례식장에 마련된 빈소에 조문을 마친 홍성구 김천시 부시장은 “119구조대원이 되고자 했던 꿈은 이뤄졌지만, 그 꿈을 제대로 펼치기도 전에 하늘의 별이 됐다. 국민의 안전을 위해 헌신하고 희생한 젊은이들을 결코 잊지 않겠다”고 말했다.

김천시에서는 애도기간 동안 근조리본을 패용하고 엄숙한 분위기로 고인의 희생을 추모한다.

Kimcheon-born Fire Captain Kim Su-gwang Dies in Line of Duty, Deeply Mourned by Citizens

The funeral for Fire Captain Kim Su-gwang and Firefighter Park Su-hoon, who died in the line of duty at a fire scene in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, will be held on the 3rd.

Among the two fallen members, the news of the death of Kim Su-gwang, who was from Kimcheon, has led the citizens of Kimcheon to mourn deeply for the deceased and offer condolences to the bereaved families.

On the 31st of last month, Kim Su-gwang (27), a fire captain, and Park Su-hoon (35), a firefighter from the Mungyeong Fire Station 119 Rescue and Emergency Center, were dispatched to a fire at a meat processing plant in Mungyeong City. They were searching for people on the third floor of the meat processing plant when they were tragically overcome by the rapidly spreading fire.

A memorial service is planned to be held from the 2nd to the 5th of this month at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government's Dongnak Hall, and at the Mungyeong, Gumi, and Sangju Fire Stations to welcome mourners.

After visiting the mourning hall set up at the Mungyeong Funeral Hall on the 2nd, Hong Seong-gu, the Vice Mayor of Kimcheon City, said, "The dream of becoming a 119 rescue worker was fulfilled, but before that dream could fully unfold, they became stars in the sky. We will never forget the young individuals who dedicated and sacrificed themselves for the safety of the citizens."

During the mourning period, Kimcheon City will wear mourning ribbons and remember the sacrifice of the deceased in a solemn atmosphere.
