[김천=황악신문] 김서업 기자=경상북도 김천의료원은 지난 1월 30일부터 "찾아가는 행복병원" 사업을 시작해 현재까지 주 2회, 총 6회에 걸쳐 진행 중이다. 이 사업은 김천시 남면 문화복지센터에서 시작해 마을 주민들에게 무료 진료 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

특히 최근 진행된 무료 진료에는 경상북도 서부노인보호전문기관과 김천시 치매안심센터가 함께 참여해 노인학대 예방교육 및 무료 치매 선별 검사를 실시했다. 이는 의료 서비스 제공뿐만 아니라 교육적 측면에서도 주민들의 건강을 증진시키는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

"찾아가는 행복병원"은 진단 장비를 갖춘 이동 차량과 의료진이 의료 취약 지역을 직접 방문해 무료 이동 진료 서비스를 제공하는 경상북도 3개 의료원의 주요 사업 중 하나다. 올해는 진료 대기 시간을 활용한 교육 사업에도 초점을 맞춰 여러 기관과 협력하고 있다.

김천의료원은 이달 27일과 29일에 상주시 지역 아동을 대상으로 소아과 전문의와 함께 "찾아가는 행복병원" 사업을 실시할 예정이다. 이를 통해 의료 취약 계층을 적극 발굴하고 의료 사각지대를 줄여 나갈 계획이다.

This project began at the Nam-myeon Cultural Welfare Center in Gimcheon, providing free medical services to village residents.

Notably, the most recent free medical service session saw the participation of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Western Elderly Protection Agency and the Gimcheon Dementia Care Center, where elderly abuse prevention education and free dementia screening tests were conducted. This initiative focuses not only on providing medical services but also on enhancing the health of the community through educational efforts.

The "Mobile Happy Hospital" is one of the main projects of three medical institutions in Gyeongsangbuk-do, featuring diagnostic equipment-equipped vehicles and medical staff visiting medically underserved areas to provide free mobile medical services. This year, the project is also focusing on educational initiatives during waiting times for medical services, in collaboration with various institutions.

Gimcheon Medical Center plans to carry out the "Mobile Happy Hospital" project on the 27th and 29th of this month, targeting children in the Sangju city area with pediatric specialists. Through this, the center aims to actively identify medically underserved populations and reduce medical service deserts.
