[김천=황악신문] 김천시 국회의원 선거가 본격적인 열기 속으로 접어들었다.

13일 오전 10시 송언석 의원의 사무실에서는 지역 도.시의원들이 송언석 후보에 대한 지지를 선언하는 행사가 개최됐다.

이날 행사에는 경북도의원 4명을 비롯해 김천시 국민의힘 소속 시의원들이 대거 참여해 송언석 후보에 대한 강력한 지지를 표명했다.

특히 경북도의원 중 한 명인 이우청 총괄본부장은 오전 산악회 지지선언으로 하루를 시작하는 것을 포함해, 오후까지 다양한 단체의 지지선언 활동이 예정되어 있다고 전했다.

이러한 움직임은 국민의힘 공천 면접을 앞두고 있는 시점에서 세력 확장을 위한 전략적인 노력의 일환이라는 분석이 나온다.

국민의힘 김천지역구에서는 총 4명이 공천신청자 명단에 이름을 올렸으나, 송언석과 김오진 후보를 제외하고는 두드러진 활동을 보이는 후보가 없는 상황이다.

이번 지지 선언 행사는 송언석 후보에 대한 지역 내 정치인들의 높은 지지율을 시사하며, 향후 김천시 국회의원 선거의 흐름에 중요한 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다.

국민의힘 내에서의 경쟁이 치열해지는 가운데 선거 전략과 후보 간 연대에 대해 다시 한번 부각시키는 계기가 될 것으로 보인다.

At 10 a.m. on the 13th, a support declaration event for Song Eon-seok, a preliminary candidate, was held at his office, involving local provincial and municipal council members.

The event saw the participation of four Gyeongbuk provincial council members and several Gimcheon city council members from the People's Power Party, who expressed their strong support for candidate Song Eon-seok.

Notably, one of the provincial council members, Lee Woo-cheong, the general director, mentioned that the day started with a mountain climbing club's declaration of support in the morning, followed by various groups' declaration activities planned for the afternoon.

This movement is analyzed as a strategic effort to expand influence ahead of the People's Power Party's nomination interviews.

In the People's Power Party's Gimcheon constituency, although four preliminary candidates have registered for nomination, none but Song Eon-seok and Kim O-jin have shown significant activities.

The support declaration event indicates high support for candidate Song Eon-seok among local politicians, expected to significantly influence the flow of the Gimcheon National Assembly election.

Amidst intensifying competition within the People's Power Party, this event is seen as an opportunity to highlight election strategies and alliances among candidates once again.
