[김천=황악신문] 갑진년 새해를 맞아 김천시 시설관리공단은 지역사회에 다가가기 위해 첫 걸음을 뗐다. 김천불교사암연합회가 운영하는 무료급식소인 공양방에서 급식 봉사활동을 진행했다.

1일 김재광 이사장을 비롯한 시설관리공단 직원들이 도시락을 준비하고 배달에 나섰다. 공양방을 방문해 이른 아침부터 식사를 기다리는 시민들에게 음식을 나눠주며 일손을 보탰다.

김재광 이사장은 “새해를 맞아 진행된 첫 봉사활동이다. 앞으로도 지역사회와의 소통을 강화하고 시민들의 성원에 보답하는 공단이 되고자 한다.”며 “공단의 사회적 책임과 지속가능한 경영을 위한 활동에 대한 시민들의 관심과 지원을 부탁한다.”고 말했다.

김천시 시설관리공단은 급식 봉사를 시작으로 헌혈 활동, 농손일손돕기, 기부금 모금 등을 계획하고 있다. 지역사회에 기여할 수 있는 다양한 사회공헌활동을 통해 공기업으로서의 사회적 책임을 실현할 것으로 기대된다.

[Kimcheon=Hwangak Newspaper] Welcoming the new year of Gapjin, the Kimcheon City Facility Management Corporation took its first step toward engaging with the community. The corporation conducted a meal service volunteer activity at Gongyangbang, a free meal service operated by the Kimcheon Buddhist Temple Association.

On the 1st, Chairman Kim Jae-kwang and other employees of the Facility Management Corporation prepared and delivered lunch boxes. They visited Gongyangbang early in the morning and helped by distributing food to citizens waiting for their meals.

Chairman Kim Jae-kwang said, "This is our first volunteer activity in the new year. We aim to become a corporation that strengthens communication with the community and repays the support of our citizens." He added, "We ask for the citizens' interest and support in the corporation's activities for social responsibility and sustainable management."

The Kimcheon City Facility Management Corporation plans to start with meal service volunteering and continue with blood donation activities, agricultural help, and fundraising. These various social contribution activities are expected to fulfill the corporation's social responsibility as a public enterprise.
